The Military 2 is the evolution of the original in the military series (which has now expanded to the ParaMilitary 2, Para 3, Para 3 LW, and many variants of each model). The original Military model is what Spyderco founder Sal Glesser designed after being asked what knife he would send with his child into the military, if need be. The original was a long, stout folder designed to have impressive reach and be easily operable with one hand, with or without gloves on. It featured a liner lock and single position, tip down carry pocket clip.

The updated Military 2 builds upon the innovations showcased in the ParaMilitary 2, and combines them with the formidable size of the original Military model. The Millie 2 features a long 4+ inch blade, G10 handle scales, nested steel liners, and like the Paramilitary 2 a compression locking mechanism and 4-way reversible clip. 

This special version features Spyderco's new milled G10 pattern to enhance grip in wet conditions. The Specially heat treated MagnaCut blade gives this knife incredible corrosion resistance and the other metal components have been specifically selected to prevent any corrosion on any parts of this knife.
