The 2023 release of the Bladnoch 14 Year Old is aged exclusively in Oloroso Sherry casks. Bladnoch’s Master Distiller, Dr Nick Savage hand selects every cask to bring together this rich expression showing notes of fruit cake, dark chocolate, and subtle sweet cinnamon on the palate.

Tasting Notes

Nose : Plum, strawberry jam, chocolate digestives, a good kick of toasted oak.

Palate : Fruit cake with a thick layer of icing, more jammy sweetness balanced by ginger and a touch of liquorice.

Finish : Dry oak heat, balanced by cherry and chocolate.

Bladnoch Distillery

Bladnoch Distillery is located in the south west of Scotland and is one of only six Lowland distilleries still to be in operation today. Found in Bladnoch near Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway, this distillery is on the River Bladnoch’s banks and is Scotland’s most southern distillery. The distillery has a troubled past, and was narrowly saved from extinction in 2015 by Australian entrepreneur who has revitalised the distillery. Bladnoch is producing whisky once more.
