Background: Catalyzes the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs into free fatty acids and coenzyme A (CoASH, regulating their respective intracellular levels. Functions as a peroxisomal succinyl-coenzyme A thioesterase that can also hydrolyze glutaryl-CoA and long chain saturated acyl-CoAs.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
