This intriguing late 19th-century locket pendant, crafted from 9K gold, takes the form of a small book, opening horizontally to reveal a hidden compartment. The front of the locket is intricately engraved with swirling motifs, framing two Masonic symbols: a blue enamelled bell and a compass with square, traditional symbols of the Freemasons. The compass represents moral compass, and the square symbolises virtue, core tenets of Freemasonry.
