A striking green gem, chrome diopside is a relatively recent addition to the jewelry world, only mined since the 1980s and prized both for its vivid colour and for its role as an "indicator mineral." The bright colour makes it easy to spot and its presence alerts miners to kimberlite pipes, which also means diamonds. While diopside is relatively soft for a gemstone, earrings keep the stone from taking too rough a beating while showcasing its vibrance front and center.

Very good estate condition with minor wear, c2000s drops with new hoops. Drop settings originally manufactured in UK. Please note that some photos show both the original hook piercing and the newly added hoop for the mount. These earrings are being sold on the huggie hoop mounting.
