The new AXP skid plate is the result of AXP's experience associated to your feedback regarding their KTM 790/890 baseplate. No more contact between the skid plate and the OEM fuel pump guard, a 8mm thick foam is supplied to avoid the friction on the tank and a longer anti heating plate is stuck on the bash guard.

For the other details, AXP kept their successful recipe with HDPE 8mm thick, 4mm thick alloy brackets to reinforce the sides and avoid any breakage and finally the mud guard has been reviewed and improved for a better protection. Forget the heavy weight, ring song from rocks impact, vibrations and deformation of an alloy skid plate !  This 'Touring' version is dedicated for touring and will be compatible with the OEM center stand. 

If you use to send the bike on top of the trees, AXP has made a HARD version referenced AXP-AX1622 and available in the options below.

All necessary hardware is included.

Versions

• "Hard" Version (incompatible with centre stand) - 3.6Kg v.s. 2.7Kg for the OEM skid plate, is the stronger more heavy-duty version. 
• Both versions are made of 8mm thick HDPE material.
