Grafted avocado trees approx 30-40cms high and will start to flower either this year or next. Grows to a max height of 6m or can be grown in a large pot which will make the tree smaller. Hass is a type A avocado tree and require pollination from a type B avocado tree (like Shepard) to produce fruit. 

Most popular variety due to both its superior taste and excellent keeping qualities. Medium sized, pear-shaped fruit has an excellent creamy, flesh. The leathery rough dark-purple skin turns to black when ripe. Harvest months are August - December. 

Avocado Trees require lots of watering and well draining soil. It is also desirable to create a mound to plant them on. There are really good clips on YouTube on the best way to plant avocado trees that we recommend watching.  They do best in a part shade position. 

Care Instructions:

Give your plant a small amount of water everyday, preferably in the morning. If you plant your tree in the ground you will need to water it regularly for the first 2 years and then the roots should be able to find their own water. Use a general purpose fertiliser once a year and be sure to follow the instructions on the packet. To encourage new growth, prune branch tips at the end of summer. If you are growing your tree in a pot we recommend using a pot between 30-50lts. You can grow any fruit tree in a pot and it will restrict the height of the tree to approx 2m tall and it will still bear fruit, then if you plant it in the ground it will continue to grow taller.
