These frame components did not meet our standards to be sold as our premium unassembled frames. We offer these components at a highly discounted price. 

NOTE: SOME OF THESE COMPONENTS MAY NOT WORK
Some of these components may not work, although we exclude the ones that are either extremely weak or beyond fixable.

Examples of defects:

• Component is not straight enough;
• Measurements are a bit off, usually off by 1/8" at most;
• Component has a hole (from a knot in the wood), rough edge, chipped corner, etc.

We make our Layens frames here at Little Creek Farms in the USA with untreated wood. These frames come unassembled and predrilled.

Dimensions and Quantities (per single frame) (NOTE: some components may be off a little since they are our grade B components):
- 1x Top bar (14-5/16” x 1-1/2” x 3/4”).
- 2x End bars (15-9/16” x 3/8” x 1-1/2” tapering down to 1”).
- 1x Bottom bar (12-3/16” x 3/4” x 5/8”).

Holes for wire predrilled in top and bottom bars.

Assembly:
For assembly, we recommend an air compressor with narrow-crown staple gun (1” and 3/8” staples) and wood glue. It is helpful to use a speed square if you do not have an assembly jig to make sure that the frames line up in the hive properly.

PLEASE NOTE: The top bars do not come pre cut for a starter strip.
