This clear, very smooth gel has good glide and dries pretty quickly. The camphor smell is less strong than Motion Medicine, and perhaps less complex. The therapeutic action is quite fast acting. After twelve minutes the cold is perceptible, and it feels quite numbing. Applied to my wrist, I can easily smell the product when I hold my hand out at arm's length. It has a sweeter, peppermint candy aroma, and I don't smell eucalyptus with this product. Think Vicks Inhaler. For me the numbing effect began to wear off after 90 minutes. To be honest, I wanted to either reapply more gel or wash it off because of the strong scent. This is an intense product.
