Everflex Supaprime is a single-part, rapid-curing, moisture-curing polyurethane primer. It is engineered to penetrate deeply into porous substrates, forming a robust anchor for Adheseal's range of polyurethane, MS, and silicone sealants, as well as Everflex waterproof membranes. This deep penetration and enhanced adhesion prevent premature bond failure and delamination, ensuring the long-term integrity of your system.

The numbers that matter

  • Viscosity: 30-60 cps. This low viscosity allows Supaprime to soak deep into porous substrates like concrete and masonry. You get maximum penetration for mechanical adhesion, not just a surface film.
  • Tack-Free: 0.5 - 1 hour at 23°C. After a maximum of one hour, Supaprime forms a translucent film that is ready for the application of subsequent coatings or compounds. This rapid cure time keeps your project moving.
  • Solids Content: 30-34%. This high solids content ensures a substantial amount of active polyurethane resin is delivered deep into the substrate, providing a dense, durable layer for superior bonding.
  • Coverage: 5 - 10 m²/litre. Adjust your consumption based on substrate porosity. Less porous surfaces will use less product, while highly absorbent materials will require more.

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Mechanically prepare very dense or contaminated concrete by dry diamond grinding to create an open, porous profile. Apply Everflex Supaprime by brush or roller, ensuring complete saturation. The surface should remain wet for two minutes, allowing maximum absorption. Exceptionally porous substrates may benefit from a second coat. Allow the primer to dry to a translucent, tack-free film before applying sealants or membranes. While wet, clean tools and spills efficiently with Acetone.

Don't use this when

  • Not for: Non-porous surfaces. This product is specifically formulated for porous materials. For non-porous substrates like metals, glass, or glazed tiles, use a dedicated non-porous primer like Adheseal 50A Surface Prep.
  • Not for: Damp, wet, or contaminated substrates. Ensure surfaces are completely dry and free of all contaminants to prevent bond failure. Do not apply if rain is imminent.
  • Not for: Hydrostatic pressure or rising damp. Everflex Supaprime is an adhesion primer, not a moisture barrier. For areas with hydrostatic pressure or rising damp, a dedicated product like Everflex VBS or Megapoxy H is required.
  • Not for: Long-term UV exposure. This primer has limited UV resistance and must be overcoated with a sealant, adhesive, or membrane for protection.
  • Not for: Extreme temperatures. Do not apply when ambient or substrate temperatures are below 10 °C or above 35 °C.

As a Class 3 Flammable Liquid (UN1992, Packing Group III), Everflex Supaprime requires careful handling.
