STAINLESS: Enduro Bearings produces certain series of bearings made with stainless 440C steel balls. This material offers maximum resistance to corrosion in all conditions. Depending on the application, Abec 3 or Abec 5 quality is used. Stainless steel balls have 20% less capacity than the 52100 steel balls used in most of our bearings, but they do offer better protection against corrosion. Enduro Bearings uses a CRC marine grease in these bearings for extra protection against contamination. LLB: Our most popular seal, consisting of a rubber finish with a metal core. Unlike standard 2RS, we go a step further by machining a recess in the inner ring, where the seal can rotate with optimal efficiency and resistance compared to an inferior bearing. Rather than a single "lip" of a thick seal rubbing against an uneven surface, the LLB type uses 2 sealing lips, thin as a razor blade that slides into a recess with light contact. The outer "lip" keeps water and impurities out, while the inner seal retains the grease for smooth rotation and long intervals between maintenance.
