With many advances in the field of dermatology during the recent years, dermatology has emerged as an important field. With good undergraduate teaching and training in almost every medical college, the diagnosis and treatment of common skin diseases have become an integral part of undergraduate teaching. This book has been designed keeping in mind the present undergraduate curriculum. Comprehensive dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases is concise and limited to common skin and sexually transmitted diseases with their classical presentation and currently used methods of treatment. Most of the diseases have been classified according to their etiological mechanism. The old system of classification based on morphological presentation has been discarded. I hope this book will fulfill the educational needs of undergraduate students as well as be useful to general practitioners with interest in dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases
