The aim of Handbook Philippines is to shed light to the different facets of life (and of daily struggles and survival) in the Philippines. It consists f a manifold of intruductory articles on key sociopolitical, cultural, and economic problems--from agrarian reform, labor migration and social protection, education, and health and gender, as well as politics, culture, civil society, and many more.
All contributors, Germans and Filipinos alike, have gained extensive knowledge on different aspects of the Philippines through their travels, encounters with the people, and the sharing of daily life with them. More than just offering various interpretations in understanding the Philippines, they wish to support others who also want to contribute to making change happen in the country.
