Earth and sky on the wing.
These earrings feel almost weightless — the fine silver wings whisper rather than swing. Deep brown and quiet blue enamel catches the light like soil and sky on a clear morning; warm and grounded one moment, cool and far-away the next. They frame the face without covering it, light enough for all-day wear, distinctive enough that someone will lean in at a dinner and ask what they are. Beautiful with tan, caramel and navy — a subtler, more autumnal butterfly for people who don't love bright colour but still want wearable art.
Butterflies have long carried meaning across cultures — transformation, rebirth, a sign that change is on the way and more beautiful than expected. The brown enamel grounds the palette with warmth and earthiness, while the blue keeps things calm and clear. Worn together, they sit somewhere between rooted and curious — the colours of a walk in the bush, or a quiet morning with coffee.
Handmade on the Central Coast of Australia by artist-jeweller Natalia using the traditional champlevé technique — one of the oldest forms of enamelling. Each wing is engraved by hand in 999 fine silver before any enamel is laid; the engraved detail remains visible beneath the colour, shifting in the light. The recesses are filled with vitreous glass enamel and fired more than ten times in the kiln to build the depth and brilliance of the finished surface. Every firing is unforgiving — the colour only reveals itself once the kiln cools — so no two pairs of these sterling silver enamel earrings are ever identical. Finished with 925 sterling silver ear wires for comfortable daily wear.
Brown enamel is a quieter choice than most people expect from me — but when it sits next to the right blue, it has a softness I love. — Natalia
