A pair of lilac flowers rendered in soft purple vitreous enamel and fine silver — each bloom about 16mm across, small enough to wear every day, pretty enough to notice. The purple tones shift with the light, from pale lilac to deeper violet. A favourite pairing with the matching lilac flower pendant.

Lilac flowers are a gentle symbol of first love and the optimism of spring. In Victorian flower language they stood for the first stirrings of affection; in folklore they mark the turning of the season, bloom rushing through the garden in a matter of days. Handmade by Natalia on the Central Coast of Australia using champlevé vitreous enamel. Recesses are hand-engraved into the 999 fine silver flowers before each colour is packed in and fired — the engraving shows subtly through the enamel and gives the blooms depth. Each piece passes through the kiln more than ten times to build up the purple; every firing is unforgiving, so no two pairs are ever identical. The ear wires are 925 sterling for strength where they pass through the ear.
