Pine green and black handwoven sambalpuri cotton ikat saree from the weavers of Sambalpur, Odisha. The pattern for this saree evolves through a process of dyeing the warp and weft threads prior to inter-weaving. This technique of ikat weaving on a traditional handloom is a beautiful art of poetry on the loom. This saree is woven with small butti designs all over the body along with peacock design woven near lower saree border. Rudraksha motifs are woven for this saree border. The floral design woven as stripes on the pallu add to the beauty of this handloom saree. The saree comes with matching blouse piece.
