This striking 1960s linen blend halter neck dress in yellow is by celebrated US designer Mollie Parnis, who's designs were popularised by no less than 5 of Americas first ladies - Mamie Eisenhower, Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon, Betty Ford and Rosalynn Carter. The dress has a wrap-over bodice and a deep ruffle collar which flows around to the back with black trimming creating a dramatic contrast against the vibrant yellow. There is a central zip fastening at the reverse, side pocket details and a matching yellow silk lining throughout. This arresting piece is of excellent quality and in fantastic vintage condition with no flaws to note. There are wide belt loops on the side seams which are easily removed if desired. Would best suit a US size 4, Uk size 8. Our model is a UK 6-8 and 5ft 4in (163cm) and this dress was a great fit on her.
