This wonderul black wool crepe Courreges dress can be worn on its own or styled in the manner of his signature look, with a top or turtleneck underneath. It is made from a light black wool crepe that moves well and is not heavy when on. The bodice is cut to have no sleeve and it is suspended from wide straps that curve around the shoulders. The neckline is squared off at both the front and the back. It is more fitted over the bodice there there is a row of big thick black buttons that run down the front for detailing. Each has a properly finished buttonhole behind it despite the fact that the buttons are not functional. I love when I see this level of detail in a piece as it shows the quality of the work and the attention that was paid to these small details. It is seamed at the waist and then the skirt skim over the hips. As it nears the hem the skirt opens up to a startling fullness - it is a full true circle skirt near the hem. This gives the bottom of the skirt soft rounded curves. When you twirl or move you soon discover the tremendous movement that this technique gives the skirt. The dress has really beautiful seaming and an impeccably construction. It is always hard to convey all the detail when shooting a black dress but when you see it in person I think you will be very pleased. Excellent condition.

Tagged a Courreges size 00. Fully lined in a black silky rayon and it closes with a hidden set side zipper. The front buttons are decorative only but has properly finished buttonholes. Very well made
