Description:
Emmanuel Parnan's Maison Rose, a well-known French acid folk classic, is reissued with two bonus tracks. Elegant, delicate, and progressive, this miraculous album is the perfect marriage of tradition and experimentation. Jean-Claude Vannier also guests on the album. French singer/songwriter Emmanuelle Parnand, who has recently released a collaborative album on the renowned French electronic label Versatile, continues to transcend the boundaries of folk music and work freely. His memorable solo debut album "Maison Rose" (1978) is reissued by Souffle Contigne, a Parisian label that has also reissued Jeff Gilson's albums. This classic French acid-folk album was made with engineer Bruno Meny at the studio of Jacques Dangean, a French music master known for his work with Dionne Warwick and Françoise Hardy. The voice is lovely and somewhat floating, reminiscent of Vashti Bunyan's, the melody is graceful, the sense of time wavers, the touch is delicate, the sound processing is progressive... This is a miracle piece that embodies the perfect marriage of tradition and experimentation. The poetry on M(2) is by Jean-Claude Vannier. Two bonus tracks (M(13) and (14)). A previously unreleased collection, "Perelandra," was also released at the same time.
