Starting his own company in 2003, Renato Corino left the safety of his family company as he wanted to make Barolo his way. Still friendly with his family (unlike many family members who set up on their own, he has certainly done things his own way and after I got a bottle of his wines for my 39th birthday, I've become a big fan.
