However, it is not as if Severin had been forgotten for a long time.It was in Japan that the first two albums they left for Motown in 1973-74 were released together on CD for the first time in 2000. Moreover, the debut album was also reissued in a low-priced edition in 2002 to good acclaim. In the mid-90s, the debut album was introduced in Sabbabia magazine, which was a rare groove reference book for people in their 20s and 30s at the time. The album's sweet vocals and the soft acoustic groove of "Stay" were especially popular. It was also included in a free soul compilation and became a rare groove staple, which led to its first CD release. This was a surprise to West Coast rock lovers who were one or two generations older than the Severins. To begin with, Severin's first two albums were not released in Japan during the analog era. The comeback in 1995 was quite a surprise, but the reappraisal by the younger generation was like being pinched by a fox. And now here we are, another 20 years later, with a new album. It is Severin's sixth solo work in total.
